Hello, and welcome to our first blog post on our new website!
As we wind down 2025, we wanted to thank you again for bringing back your Tiger Gardens jars to the market! We’ve had a lot of quality time this holiday season washing, sorting and organizing jars from the market, and here is what we ended up with! 50 dozen jars!
This is such a great resource to recycle! As you know, lids are one-time use, rings are multiple use until they rust, but jars last practically forever (although they do break.)
And they are expensive. Before the pandemic, they averaged $8.99-$11.99/dozen, but now, they can be as much as $15.99/dozen even for 8oz jars. Ordering bulk online doesn’t save money because of shipping. We will give you $.50/jar at the market, even if you don’t buy anything! And usually, if you bring a lot back, we will round up. We are more than happy to provide this recycling service, so please don’t throw away your jars.
We will definitely be highlighting this program at the 2026 Farmer’s Market! So if you still have jars, just know that we will, indeed, take them back. Either save them for the first market of 2026, May 2nd, or let us know how to pick them up.
